Republic Day Assembly

Pathways School Gurgaon celebrated India’s 73rd Republic Day, virtually by showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage and valour through a whole-school assembly conducted live on Microsoft Teams.

In his address, Capt. Bajaj wished everyone and spoke about the values of a soldier, motivating students to feel grateful for the heroes of our nation. Sir’s address was followed by heart-rending, a kaleidoscopic musical, dance, and dramatic performances that filled everyone’s hearts with patriotic fervor and pride. To begin with, the Diploma Program presented a puppet show that depicted a conversation between the founding fathers of our nation: Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Furthermore, the audience was enthralled by a fantastic classical dance performance by a Middle Years Student. Succeeding the graceful dance performance, was a musical composition of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Primary Years students, and a drama performance based on, “How the meaning of patriotism is different across nations”.

Next, a soulful dance performance by Primary Years students, awed the audience with their talent. To add to this mood, the Middle Years students prepared a skit portraying the Indian struggle for Independence.

The memorable assembly approached its culmination with an energetic poem recital, in Hindi language, by a student of the Diploma Program. MYP Students touched our hearts with the rendition of ‘Sare Jahaan se Acha’ and the assembly concluded with the school song.

History, customs, and celebration, all came together to create a vibrant cultural tapestry. It was undoubtedly a day to remember, and everyone dispersed with pride and gratitude in their hearts – much more, than they felt before.
