Writing has always been my passion since I was seven years old. My earliest memories go to writing short poems (which is the genre I was most fascinated with at all times). I have been opportune during different occasions to write for School magazines. A few of my poems were also published in the newspaper by the school.
Scholastic and Pathways gave me the opportunity to tread this further and present myself as an accomplished short story writer. I was fortunate to be selected for the ‘Scholastic Quill Club Writers’. This is one of my most cherished achievements. It was a 10-day program, wherein students all over India were selected after two rounds of story completion. I passed two different rounds, to make it to the top 21, competing with 2000+ students pan India. This was my first stint as a co-author for a renowned publication which came in the form of a book- “Quiet Echoes – Stories From Across The Universe”, to cherish for a lifetime.
As they say- “You can best teach character on the playing field, using sports to teach life lessons”. Yet another milestone in my life has been to participate in the ‘Haryana State Junior Badminton Championship held at Panchkula. I represented Gurgaon for the tournament both in ‘U-17 Singles’ and ‘U-19 Mixed Doubles’ categories. It was indeed a proud moment for me to be playing among the top-ranked players from all over India. I learned the quality of being bold in the most testing and arduous times. I will cherish both of these achievements for a lifetime!
