Project Sanitation and Drinking Water Supply

Students of Interact Club of Pathways World School and The Rotary Club of Delhi Imperial surveyed the Girl’s Govt. Primary School; Teekli and Primary Health Sub Center / Delivery Hut, Teekli. There were very poor condition of sanitation and no drinking water supply. School was not having clean toilets leaving girl students with no option but to urinate out in the open. Parents were bit hesitate to send their girl child to school for the flaws of infrastructure. The Govt. Delivery Hut was with no water supply and cleanliness was in very bad condition.

Students started the cleanliness work and raised funds to improve the sanitation and drinking water condition at both the sites. Five toilets constructed with clean tile flooring and water supply. Cemented water tank is also constructed for safe drinking water. A beatification drive was also started for the repair of broken doors, windows, whitewash of the walls and painting of the doors and windows.

Now both the sites looks beautiful, equipped with basic infrastructure. Girl students, teachers, nursing staff and village community are happy and thankful to Pathways and The Rotary Club of Delhi Imperial.  The project sanitation and drinking water was co-funded by The Rotary Club of Delhi Imperial.
